Ardhanarishvara
Tiruvenkadu, Thanjavur District. Height 101 cm. Around the 11th Century AD.
The name Ardhanarishvara means “the Lord Who is half woman.” Siva is represented here as half-male and half-female, typifying the male and female energies. The right half represents Siva and the left Parvati. Siva has a jatamakuta with a crescent moon. He has three arms of which the lower armrests on the back of the bull, his vehicle., and the upper right has an axe. The whole of the right side is adorned with ornaments peculiar to Shiva. The right leg is bent and rests on the pedestal. The drapery is shown up to the knee. On the left side, the image has Karanda makuta. Architecture:
A new design was prepared by the Sompura family in 2020, in accordance with traditional Hindu architectural principles and sciences. The Sompuras have been part of the temple design of over 100 temples all over the world for at least 15 generations.
The temple will be 235 feet wide, 360 feet long, and 161 feet high. Once complete, the temple complex will be the world’s third-largest Hindu shrine. It is designed in the Nagara style of Indian temple architecture. The building will have a total of 366 columns. The columns will have 16 idols each to include the incarnations of Shiva, the 10 Avatars of Vishnu, and the 12 incarnations of the goddess Saraswati. The width of the stairs will be 16 feet. In accordance with scriptures dedicated to the design of temples dedicated to Vishnu, the sanctum sanctorum will be octagonal.What is it:

This high-quality full-size replica of Venus of Dolní Věstonice Paleolithic is 3D printed in PLA to an accuracy of 0.1mm. Painted and finished by hand using a combination of techniques to make the model as faithful to the original as possible. The texture imitates the varying rough and polished feel of the clay, the dark brown color a hallmark of its primitive firing in an open pit. This finely detailed, Museum quality, little statuette measures about 11cm (4.4 inches).
Each one of these little ladies is individually hand-painted with great care, so no two are alike, there can be slight color variations and might be slightly different from the pictured item.
The original Venus, carved from oolitic limestone and painted with reddish ochre, is estimated to have been carved between 28000 and 25000 BCE.
