This high-quality full-size replica of Venus of Dolní Věstonice Paleolithic is 3D printed in PLA to an accuracy of 0.1mm. Painted and finished by hand using a combination of techniques to make the model as faithful to the original as possible. The texture imitates the varying rough and polished feel of the clay, the dark brown color a hallmark of its primitive firing in an open pit. The original Venus, carved from oolitic limestone and painted with reddish ochre, is estimated to have been carved between 28000 and 25000 BCE.
